If there are two words that I imagine cause music teachers everywhere to break out in a cold sweat they are “self taught”. I was exactly that when I first knocked on Glenn’s door. Within a matter of weeks he had managed to knock the wood-shedder out of me.
I am always impressed with Glenn; all lessons are hugely enjoyable and challenging but Glenn never shows anything other than patience and encouragement irrespective of any mistakes. His knowledge of all things drums, his constant enthusiasm and easy delivery are the trademarks of excellence.

I’ve recently moved to St Annes from Leicester where I’d been having drumming lessons for almost two years. I desperately needed to resume lessons and Glenn came highly recommended by a former student. Glenn is an accomplished drummer with exceptional teaching qualities – friendly, easy to understand, oodles of patience, and truly inspirational. Male/female, under-six/over-sixty (and I’m the latter in both categories!) drumming has no limits. For many years I’d been wondering about having a go at the drums until eventually, aged 31, I booked in for a lesson with Glenn. From the outset, Glenn’s knowledge, enthusiasm and natural teaching ability have propelled me from a wobbly self-taught rock groove to playing some complex pieces I would never have imagined being able to play!
